Alfonso de Angoitia Setting the Bar High for Other Media Executives

     The media industry in Mexico has come a long way from a period when new media companies faced a lot of challenges establishing themselves because of the monopoly of the industry and the numerous barriers of entry. But today, Mexico has one of the most vibrant media industries in North America, enabling the people of Mexico and Latin America at large to receive the best news coverage and entertainment. Alfonso de Angoitia has been the executive vice president of Grupo Televisa, S.A. since 2000. Grupo Televisa has undergone a lot of changes ever since Alfonso was appointed executive vice president and Alfonso has contributed a great deal to its development and growth, thanks to his expertise in the media industry and other industries as well. For instance, his legal expertise came in handy during the restructuring of Grupo Televisa a few years ago.

Besides serving as executive vice president of Grupo Televisa, Alfonso de Angoitia also chairs the finance committee of the company. Alfonso is very passionate about giving back to the community.
